Scientific Agreement with Republic of Austria signed
16.07.2010

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic and Minister of Science and Research of Austria Beatrix Karl signed the Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Austria in Vienna today.

Austria is an important partner of Serbia in many areas and the biggest investor in Serbia, Djelic stated upon signing the agreement, adding that it will allow more joint technological projects and launch important joint initiatives. We see Austria as a priority partner, he stressed.

Karl said that this agreement will enable scientists to deepen cooperation, noting that between Austrian and Serbian universities there are 13 agreements, as well as agreement with the Academy of Sciences, which is the best proof of the high degree of cooperation between Serbia and Austria. Karl said that Serbia is the most significant partner of Austria in the "Tempus" program.
