In this position you are expected to write a dissertation in a stimulating environment using the university's infrastructure. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. 50% of the working time is reserved for the thesis. You are required to hold a degree in teacher education for secondary schools in the field of foreign languages, desirable English, Spanish/Romance Languages. If you have studied English your language level needs to refer to C2 according to the CEFR, if you have studied French, Italian or Spanish the language level needs to match C1 according to the CEFR. Your expertise in German (if not your L1) should be C1. Excellent computer competences and familiarity with research methods in the field of foreign language education are required. It is desirable that your MA thesis covered the topic of language acquisition, eventually from a psycholinguistic perspective. You should have expertise in publishing and conference participation. A PhD proposal (max. 5 pages) is to be included in your application. You need to be able to cooperate, have creative problem solving competence, be able to work in teams and have teaching competence.
