Daily life

The cities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac offer a cosmopolitan milieu. The people there are frequently hanging out in cafés and pubs, take their meals late (in the southern European tradition), and have access to a range of entertainment, from sporting events to poetry readings and gallery openings. As is true of rural societies elsewhere, the Serbian countryside is a great repository of old customs, traditions, folklore, and belief.

Enjoy vibrant nightlife of Serbia by dancing until sunrise seven nights a week or chilling out at clubs with regional reputation, in friendly and hospitable environment. Within number of well established venues, you can enjoy a variety of flavors, from traditional folk music, you probably did not experience anywhere else, to world-known musicians, DJs and local live cover bands.

There is so much more than nightlife to enjoy in Serbia. You can make your own daily excursion. Whether you prefer hiking, mountaineering, biking, rafting or field trips in wine tasting, there is a unique place and atmosphere to feel.

Catching up with local flavors of food and drinks in Serbia is always a “tough” experience, both by means of variety and quantity. Be sure to try a national cuisine – its mainly based on smoked and minced meat, but you can always ask for a vegetarian meal – almost all restaurants can provide one for you.
