EURAXESS Startup Hub Tour@Israel

Welcome to Israel!

Israel is recognized globally as a start up nation. Israel's unique society and culture, strong economy, government support, and "global-first" market approach are just a few of the factors that make Israel's innovation ecosystem one of the most successful in the world. This well-established ecosystem includes about 7,000 active start ups! During the last year, about 20 billion Euro’s have been raised by those start ups, and is second in the world to the US. Most of the largest international hi-tech enterprises have branches and established R&D divisions in Israel. Israeli entrepreneurs have successfully demonstrated how to persevere in the face of adversity.

Would you like to explore this exciting innovative ecosystem? Your visit will include a visit to Haifa, home of the Technion, a science and technology research university, among the world’s top ten, an introduction to leading accelerators, an encounter with entrepreneurial and tech transfer case studies, a tour of a local innovation center, as well as a visit to BINA applicative science unit (which nurtures and supports early-stage basic research projects likely to produce intellectual property with practical applications) in Rehovot just south of Tel Aviv, at the Weizmann Institute of Science, one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact sciences.

EURAXESS Startup Hub Tour@Luxembourg

Welcome to Luxembourg!

Luxembourg, a multilingual country uniting 170 nationalities in the heart of Europe, is not only a great place to do research. The reason it attracts talents from across the world is also due to its growing reputation as a committed start up nation. Its ecosystem, comprised of a thriving community of 700 start ups, counts several support-mechanisms for (prospective) founders and their companies. The small size of the country implies short distances, also to decision-makers; its multinational community makes it an ideal testbed for products and services across diverse communities; last but not least a dense infrastructure of sector-specific incubators and co-working spaces offers opportunities for relevant networking besides personalized support by Luxembourg’s innovation agency.

Does this sound like a country you would like to discover through its start up ecosystem? What is awaiting you if you are selected for the Start up Hub Tour Luxembourg? Presentations of key support mechanisms and infrastructures which might benefit your company in the future and incubator visits in two exciting locations within Luxembourg: Belval Innovation Campus in Esch-sur-Alzette, European Capital of Culture 2022, and Luxembourg City, home to European institutions with its historical quarter and fortifications recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Take a look at Startup Luxembourg’s “Ecosystem at a glance” video and get to know some ecosystem actors you might soon meet in person.

EURAXESS Startup Hub Tour@Estonia

Welcome to Estonia!

Estonia has a busy and open startup ecosystem, eager to support ambitious individuals and startups. Startup Estonia, a state initiative, has been created to gather information about organisations in Estonia, that provide a wide range of services for startups, with a total of more than 100 local partnerships. These organisations will provide you with support on different levels, starting from setting the mindset for curious students who want to know more and are keen to create innovative projects for launching new products and solutions. Support will be provided also to those who already have an idea for a scalable, innovative product or a service – be it information about resources, team members, clients to test your ideas, as well as support to already established start-ups in their scaleup.

In the Estonian tour we would like to invite you to meet some of the key players in this ecosystem as well as to visit relevant tech-transfer offices. We would like to make it both educational for the participants as well as use it as an opportunity for mutual learning and sharing experiences. You will also hear about our unique start-up visa system and possibly other national measures to help you on your journey to opening new perspectives for your future career.
